Occupational Wage Rates: Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) Program
The mean wage is also known as the average wage. The mean wage is calculated by dividing the estimated total wages for an occupation by the number of workers in that occupation. Entry level and Experienced wage rates represent the means of the lower 1/3 and upper 2/3 of the wage distribution, respectively. Data is from a semiannual survey.
